Region: Kunene

Kunene is Namibia’s wild north-west, taking in Etosha National Park’s eastern and western gates, the rugged mountains of Damaraland, and the remote Kaokoveld toward the Angolan border. Campsites here range from well-equipped lodges in Etosha gateway towns like Outjo and Kamanjab to community-run sites beside dry riverbeds where desert-adapted elephants pass through camp. It’s the region most associated with Namibia’s classic wildlife and rock-art imagery.
