Park / Reserve: Etosha National Park

Etosha National Park is Namibia’s flagship wildlife destination, a vast, shimmering salt pan surrounded by savannah and mopane woodland that draws visitors from across the world for some of the best self-drive game viewing in Africa. Floodlit waterholes at Okaukuejo, Halali and Namutoni let campers watch elephant, lion, rhino and giraffe after dark without leaving camp. Campsites in and around Etosha range from the three official NWR rest camps inside the park to a wide choice of private lodges and campsites in the gateway towns of Outjo, Kamanjab and Khorixas, each offering an easy base for early-morning and late-afternoon game drives.
