The Growcery Camp – Richtersveld 

-28.6968, 17.49771 The Growcery Camp is a mere 22km west of the Vioolsdrift and Noordoewer Border post. This border is the 24hour border post between Namibia and South Africa. The Camp is in South Africa and on the banks of the Orange River. Overlooking the Orange River and Namibia will be your views from Camp. COMING FROM SPRINGBOK N7

There is one road before the border post about 30meters before the border gate on your left. This road has a sign Kotzehoop.

You take a left turn 30 meters before the border post when you are coming from South Africa. Once you have turned left, there is a T junction 60 meters further. Take a right and follow this road past the police station. The Police station will be on your left and the orange River on your right-hand side. This road is the only road along the river. Follow this road for 22km, and you will find the Directions Growcery Camp to be very easy. CAMPSITES: 14 Campsites, ranging from River Views/ Private View/ Distance View/ 2-12 People per Campsite

There is a BBQ area with a kitchenette as well. You can make use of the self-catering facilities or join us for a hearty fresh-cooked meal.

The Growcery Camp’s Chic Shacks are value-for-money accommodation. It’s basic and comfortable. There are ten units, and we can accommodate a maximum of 20 travelers at any given point in time. Your vehicles can be safely parked close to your Chic Shack of choice. This is the perfect upgrade to camping and we refer to our shacks as glamping units rather than lodge units. It is definitely not luxury, but rather quirky, clean, and neat glamping accommodation. Rate are from N$ 280 – N$ 550 pp sharing

RATES: Adult N$ 250 pp per night/ Child N$ 10 pp per night Other Accommodation: The Chic Shacks offer Vioolsdrift accommodation at an affordable rate in a beautiful setting. Our rooms have been constructed from reclaimed materials. Each one sleeps, two people. These rooms come with bedding, and guests have access to shared bathrooms constructed from river stones. We love our huge showers, and so will you!
