Mudumu Hippo Pool

Directions: In the Mudumu / Kwando River area near Kongola, in Namibia’s Zambezi (Caprivi) Region.

Activities: Wild camping with hippos and abundant birdlife right at the riverside – Mudumu National Park is one of the few places in Namibia where camping inside the park is unfenced.

Rate: Camping itself is typically free; park entry around N$100 per international visitor plus vehicle fee (confirm current rates).

No fixed facilities – this is a wild/self-sufficient camping area, so bring your own water, firewood and supplies.
