Ganab Picnic Site

Directions: In Namib-Naukluft National Park, just off the Us Pass road, about 10 km after the park entrance (travelling east to west).

Fireplaces only, no other facilities – bring your own equipment, food, water and firewood. Permit required from a MET office in Swakopmund before arrival; five well-spaced camping spots.

Note: This is the Ganab picnic site (day-use).

Activities: Quiet desert scenery on the pre-Namib plains; Cape fox and Spotted Eagle Owl sightings are common at night.
